I should’ve gotten some of the bigger black tomatoes in the basket, too. But I’m pretty happy with this selection of heirloom and open-pollinated varieties (plus one hybrid–the Sungold Cherry).

Just got out of an all-morning English Dept. meeting. It’s really starting again! Good to see all the old faces (though there’s only a few left from when I started here in ’93), and it’s also good to see the new crop of T.A.s.
We had our annual all-department photo-op in the Shakespeare garden and waded through lots of administrative details imparted by our fearless (and some say fearsome!) leader, Emily.
The annual fall potluck party is Thursday night–can you guess what I’ll be bringing?
