Well, despite the dire predictions of yesterday evening, we in the Southern Paradise of the Dakotas woke this Veterans’ Day morning to a lovely, albeit slushy landscape.
A gentle snow is falling, and although the evergreens have a light burden of ice, the roads are not skating rinks as predicted. Still, with all the slush from last night’s freezing rain and this morning’s snow, they will be slippery. Travel with caution, and enjoy the wintry landscape!
I’m trying to decide if it makes sense to shovel the thin layer of slop from the sidewalks or just wait for this afternoon’s prediction of rain to wash it away.
